This is third and final podcast of recordings made at the 1979 Camp Naomi Wishaway. In this part you can hear the campers getting a little antsy as they continued to sit on the rec hall floor, waiting for the social to ensue. Even though you can tell that the singing is becoming less spirited at this time, it is still nice to hear the old familiar songs sung around a crackling fire on the last night of camp.

This was recorded in 1979 at the Camp Naomi Wishaway, the singing and candle-lighting activity that we always did on the last night of camp. Unfortunately, in 1979 it was raining that night, so instead of holding it at the waterfront and floating candles on the lake, we held it in the Rec Hall. It started out fine, but it didn't have the same magic is it usually did, and as the evening went on, people started getting a little antsy, especially since there would be a late night social with dancing for the older unit following the wishaway. I was sitting with my cabin of 11 year old boys at this event. This is part 1 of 3 parts at this Wishaway.
